...just outside of the drag strip than I do ON THE DRAG strip. I don't think the solution is trying to get people to race at a drag strip -- won't happen -- you'll still have street racing. What would be nice is if people would understand you should only race at a drag strip -- won't happen either. So, do what's always been done, arrest, ticket, jail people who break the law and race on the road. If you don't see them race, you can't give them a ticket. Don't make up laws (saying it's for emissions) and act like it's going to curb the problem. They are probably getting a decent percentage of people fined that HAVE done some street racing, but just based on percentages, not based on evidence. That's lame. Hey, why don't we just charge everyone $100 because we know, at some point, they have sped on the freeway -- or $200 because they all did an incomplete stop once --- we know they did. -Dave
